On December 7/8, justiceF and the Cebu Volunteers organized a stress debriefing program for kids in Santa Fe, Bantayan Island, an island in the Northwest of Cebu Island which was one of the places badly hit by the Super typhoon. The first element of the program on Saturday morning, was an Art Therapy Session to help the children deal with their typhoon experiences. This was organized by the Cebu Volunteers. The second part consisted of games and beach activities on Saturday afternoon and the whole of Sunday. This was facilitated by justiceF.
A good number of kids of different ages joined the activities composed of different games for team- building activities and outdoor-education done on the beach.
The children also had the chance to experience and learn something about SUP( stand up paddling). SUP is a new sport activity here in the Philippines. After all those hard weeks it was good to see the kids happy. We saw big smiles and laughing children all day long. Special thanks to Cebu Volunteers and Island Buzz!
